Amelia's Recovery
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported us through our very difficult time when our daughter was injured in March. The sheer number messages of support was nothing short of overwhelming. We are continuing the long road of rehabilitation to helping Amelia make as good a recovery as possible. We are truly grateful to our friends who kept our farm and animals looked after whilst we were away and those who spent many days and weeks away from their own to stay with us whilst we were in Melbourne. We are eternally grateful to every paramedic, nurse, doctor, surgeon and specialist in the PICU and the Neuroscience Ward at the Royal Children’s Hospital for the amazing job they did with every aspect of Amelia’s recovery.

Since our last update we have had many ups and downs.
Mid December saw the arrival of our much anticipated foal out of Rosedale Simone by Sandbourne Royal Ensign (imp). The beautiful filly surprised us all with 4 white legs and a stripe. We are extremely pleased with her and know she will live up to our expectations.

Our lovely Galloway, Whistlejackets Spell is now in a new home in SA. We were looking forward to showing her at the big shows as we thought so much of her. We have had fantastic reports from her new home and have no doubt this young mare has big things to come. We loved her so much we have purchased another by Wesswood Cast a Spell (exp UK) and look forward to her coming out next season.
On a sad note the very beautiful, Wyoming Park County Fair is no longer with us. We held such high hopes for this stunning youngster. He will be missed.
Whistlejackets Spell

We had a great day with our beautiful newcomer Whistlejackets Spell, winning Champion Open Galloway on her first outing under saddle.
Melbourne Royal Show 2009
My first ride back in the ring in exactly a year was at Royal Melbourne Show.
I took the ride on Manorvale Diamond Diva for Manorvale Stables. She won the Open 13.2-14hh Class and went on to be named Reserved Open Pony. The Following week I rode Diva again which was always planned to 3rd in the Open Pony of the Year at the EV State Titles.

I Also took the ride on Willowcroft Chance Encounter to be awarded 3rd also.
We are preparing 3 galloways of our own at the moment, all of which are very exciting and will be shown under saddle and in hand in the very near future.

Our farm (above) is getting closer to completion with a foaling down paddock and holding yard completed, PVC day yards up. The final stages of the main paddocks are being completed with a full Pop Up Sprinkler irrigation system. Once this is completed the fencing will be finished and the ponies can move in!
